Castaway sits further out in the Mamanucas than most day trips go, and the extra distance is what you are paying for. The catamaran has an air-conditioned lounge and Wi-Fi for the ninety minutes each way, and you get five unhurried hours on an island that feels genuinely remote — thatched bures under the palms, two pools, and a reef close enough to swim to. Lunch is included, either buffet or à la carte depending on the day. So is the snorkel gear, and the kayaks, and the paddleboards, and the small sailing boats, which is rarer than you would think.
