South Sea Island Day Cruise from Port Denarau — Lunch Included

South Sea Island is small enough to walk around in about ten minutes, which turns out to be the point. Forty-five minutes from Port Denarau, it is a single sandy island with a beach the whole way round, so wherever the wind is coming from there is a sheltered side to swim on. Lunch is a BBQ buffet, and local beer, house wine, soft drinks and filtered water are included through the day rather than billed at the end. Kayaks, paddleboards and snorkel gear are there to use. The semi-submersible coral viewer takes you out over the reef without getting wet, which suits grandparents and small children equally. There is a free kids club for three to twelve year olds. Most days a meke, the traditional Fijian dance, is performed on the beach — though not on Sundays.
