Island & Reef Day Sail to Kadavu Lailai from Port Denarau

This is the sailing day, not the party day. You leave Port Denarau at ten on a sailing catamaran, and the hour out to Kadavu Lailai is spent on deck watching the Mamanucas come up out of the water. The island is small and privately used, so it never feels crowded. Morning tea appears, then a tropical buffet lunch, and beer, wine and soft drinks are included rather than added up at the end. Between meals there are kayaks, paddleboards, snorkelling gear and a glass-bottom boat over the reef, and the crew run a kava ceremony in the afternoon. Children from five to nine have their own Kids Club. You are back at Denarau by five. One firm rule worth knowing before you book: children must be able to swim unassisted, and under-fives need their own flotation device.
