Your First Fiji Skydive: How to Plan the Day Around the Jump

Your First Fiji Skydive: How to Plan the Day Around the Jump

For travellers drawn to Fiji's aerial scenery, a tandem skydive is a very different way to experience it. Skydive Fiji operates near Nadi and publishes a useful set of requirements and frequently asked questions. Read those before choosing a jump package, then confirm your individual eligibility with the operator.

The jump may be the dramatic part, but a well-planned day also includes getting to the base, checking in, listening to the briefing and allowing the operation to respond to conditions.

Check eligibility before building the itinerary

As checked on 2 October 2026, Skydive Fiji's FAQ says guests must be at least 18, or 16โ€“17 with written parent or guardian consent. It lists a 50kg minimum and 115kg maximum, with surcharges above 95kg. Reconfirm these requirements when booking rather than relying on an old travel review.

Tell the operator about any relevant physical limitations or concerns through its own screening process. Its FAQ specifically notes the ability to lift your legs. The team needs accurate information to assess participation; enthusiasm alone cannot answer that question.

Compare the package clearly

Ask which jump height is being quoted and what the price includes. If photographs or video matter to you, clarify the available package, how files are delivered and whether it is an additional purchase. Decide this in advance so there is less to sort out on arrival.

Check whether transport from your hotel is included and where companions can wait. A non-jumping friend may want to watch, but the operator should explain what access and arrangements are possible for that departure.

Keep a flexible window

The operator notes that weather and air-traffic restrictions can lead to rescheduling. Our suggestion is to enquire about a slot earlier in your stay, leaving another potential opportunity if the first plan changes. Confirm the cancellation and rescheduling terms before payment.

Wear comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes, following the FAQ's guidance. Leave loose accessories and unnecessary belongings behind, and listen closely to the instructor's directions about body position and landing.

Afterwards, give yourself time to enjoy the experience instead of rushing straight to another prepaid activity. A flexible schedule helps the day feel like a holiday, even when the exact jump time needs to move.
