Western Sydney travellers have a new Fiji option to put on the calendar. In an announcement dated 9 September 2026, the Australian Government said Fiji Airways plans to start flying between Western Sydney International Airport and Nadi on 19 March 2027, with three services each week.
The announcement describes a roughly four-hour flight using a Boeing 737 MAX 8. This is a future service, so it belongs in your 2027 planning rather than your options for flying to Fiji this week.
Start with the airport, then build the holiday

Western Sydney International and Sydney's existing airport are different departure points, and your journey to the terminal is part of the holiday budget.
