Work backwards from your accommodation
Send the operator your exact hotel and travel date. Ask where the included transfer begins, whether an additional pickup is available and when you should expect to return. A trip based around Pacific Harbour can involve a very different travel day if you are staying near Nadi.
Our planning preference is to keep the evening afterwards free of a tight reservation. You can enjoy the outing without spending the return journey watching the clock.
Let the operator assess suitability
Describe the ages, experience and confidence of your group. Ask about the physical demands, minimum participation requirements and what assistance guides provide. Being new to rafting is useful information for the operator, not something to hide.
Request the current equipment and packing list. Confirm footwear, clothing, drinking water, meals and how personal belongings are stored. Before taking a phone or camera, ask what protection and attachment arrangements are appropriate.
Understand what happens if conditions change
