Nadi Town & Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple Half Day (47 chars)
Guided visit to the southern hemisphere's largest Hindu temple, plus Nadi's markets and town life. Sarong provided. Half day. (125 chars)
About this experience
At the southern end of Nadi's main street stands the largest Hindu temple in the southern hemisphere — a Dravidian tower of carved deities painted in reds, blues and golds, with Italian marble underfoot and ceilings painted by artisans brought from India. It is a working temple, not a museum, so you will share it with people who have come to pray. That is what makes it worth seeing. We walk you through the grounds with a guide, then out into Nadi town proper: the produce market, the handicraft stalls, the ordinary weekday life of a Fijian town that most visitors drive straight past. A few things to know before you come. Cover your shoulders and knees — a sarong is lent free at the gate if you need one. Shoes and hats come off. No photographs inside. And please don't eat meat on the day you visit.
Cancellation. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your tour; inside 24 hours the booking is non-refundable.
